Why you should serve

The need in Jordan

Location: Jordan / Israel

Jordan is home to hundreds of thousands Syrian and Iraqi refugees who've been displaced by ISIS. Many of these refugees are not legally allowed to work and thus are unable to provide for their families. Refugees are living in temporary shelters, many of which are contaminated by mold and are unsafe.

Our partners on the ground are ministering to these Muslim men, women, and children through food distribution, visiting their homes and listening to their stories, and mold remediation. Join us as we endeavor to offer HOPE to these families in crisis

Access to medical care is a luxury that many refugees do not have. Our medical teams come and provide medical attention to many who would never otherwise receive it. Note: It is recommended that at least one medical doctor travels with the team. None-medical personnel are always welcome.

Many refugees are unable to work in Jordan, making providing for their families difficult. Providing food is a way to begin building relationships as a bridge for sharing the gospel.

Middle Easterners are very relational - spending time in one another’s homes and sharing their stories is important to them. Visiting someone’s home, talking with them, and praying with them if the situation allows is a blessing during a time when so much of their normal lives has been upheaved.

A safe living environment should be considered a basic human right. And yet, many living in refugee camps live in inadequate shelters that may be prone to mold, leaks, etc. House reconstruction and mold remediation are dire needs.
