Why you should serve

The need in Puerto Rico

Location: Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico (a U.S. Territory) is poorer than the poorest state of the United States, with 45% of its population living below the poverty line. Puerto Rico is still recovering from catastrophic Hurricane Maria that devastated the island two years ago. The church has served as a beacon of hope through recovery projects, food boxes and other donations, children's programs, sports ministry, and community development. Join us as we partner with these churches to serve the people of Puerto Rico both physically and spiritually.

Missionaries often don’t have the budget for repairs or updates, so we ask our teams to contribute to the ongoing upkeep of the mission site, and help with bigger projects as needed.

Children are a big part of our ministry focus. Teams will have the opportunity to love and serve children through regular interaction with them at local ministry sites in the form of games, crafts*, songs, etc.

* Teams are responsible for bringing necessary craft supplies and should budget appropriately.

Puerto Rico is still recovering from Hurricane Maria. Volunteer to give back to local communities.
