Our Focus in the Dominican Republic

Haitian "bateyes" came about in the early 1900s as immigrants from Haiti were attracted to the Dominican Republic by the promise of work on large sugarcane plantations. These communities have developed and multiplied over the years and conditions have improved some with the support of humanitarian organizations and some government intervention. However, many remain without electricity and running water. Our partners in the DR are committed to seeing these communities flourish, both physically and spiritually. When you serve with our team in the DR you will come to know and love the people that make up these communities.

Bold Hope has missionaries on the ground in the DR who work alongside local pastors and community leaders. Teams are invited to partner alongside these connections to support the long-term work being done. Ways to serve in the DR may include:

    • * It is recommended that at least one medical doctor travels with a medical team. Non-medical personnel are always welcome.

We offer competitive pricing for our mission trips. We believe in quality over quantity and strive to provide the best experience for our participants. We offer group pricing and individual pricing for our mission trips. We also offer discounts and fundraising tools to help you get started on your mission trip journey.

Group Pricing

$1,295 /each

12+ people: $1,295 / person

8-11 people: $1,395 / person

A great plan for groups of 8 or more who want to create their own mission trip.

  • $495 Group Reservation Fee
  • Minimum 8 participants. Trips with fewer may be canceled 90 days before departure. Contact us before booking flights.
  • Private trips require 15 participants. Smaller groups may be combined with others.

Itinerary

This is a sample itinerary for a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. The itinerary may vary depending on the needs of the community and the activities planned for the trip.

Sample Itinerary

    Day 1: Travel to the Dominican Republic and check-in to lodging area, rest and relax after a long flight. Lunch and dinner will be provided depending on arrival time. Evening orientation and team building activities to get to know your team members. Then off to bed to rest for the next day.

  • Day 2 - 5: Breakfast at the hotel then off to the community to start your mission work. Lunch will be provided at the work site. After work, you will return to the hotel to rest and relax. Dinner will be provided at the hotel. Evening activities will be planned for team building and relaxation. Then off to bed to rest for the next day.

  • Day 6: Breakfast at the hotel then off to the scheduled Fun Day. Lunch will be provided at the fun day location. After the fun day, you will return to the hotel to rest and relax. Dinner will be provided at the hotel. Evening activities will be planned. This will be your last night in the Dominican Republic.

  • Day 7: Breakfast at the hotel then pack up and check out of the hotel. Travel to the airport for your flight back home. Materials will be provided for you to journal your experience and reflect on your mission trip to help you process your experience.
