All Bold Hope Local volunteers are expected to conduct themselves according to the following set of guidelines:

1. Be honest in speech and actions, and about problems that may arise. We understand that people are not perfect, and mistakes are made. We want our volunteers to be honest with the team and with our volunteer coordinator.
2. Maintain an order of professionalism (attitude, dress, representing our organization, outside lifestyle, pictures posted or tagged on social media, etc.).
3. Be on time for volunteer opportunities and be flexible and willing to adjust.
4. While completing volunteer assignments and for the safety of our volunteers and clients, there is a strict no alcohol policy. Any volunteer found to be intoxicated in any way will have volunteer privileges immediately revoked.
5. All volunteers should respect their fellow volunteers. We won’t allow any kind of discriminatory behavior, harassment, or victimization.
6. If there is ever a complaint or an issue, try solving it directly. If the issue or problem cannot be solved, please seek assistance from the team leader or volunteer coordinator.
7. Don’t make promises to clients. This can lead to disappointment or bitterness; trust and unity are of utmost importance.
8. Keep all relationships professional. There should be no inappropriate male/female physical contact or inappropriate conversations with Bold Hope employees, other volunteers, or clients.
