You are matched with one specific child you can get to know and write letters to, while the giving itself is pooled with other sponsors so the program can serve children and communities for the long term.

Sponsorship helps cover the practical things a child needs to grow and thrive. Depending on the country your sponsored child lives in, your support can help provide food, medical care, school tuition, clothing, and shelter. Because every place Bold Hope works is different, the exact mix of help is shaped by what local leaders identify as the greatest needs in that community.

Bold Hope does not use a single flat sponsorship price for every country. Instead, the monthly amount is based on what local leaders are working to provide and what those needs actually cost in that place, so sponsorship can cost more in some countries than others. To keep it affordable, each child is assigned more than one sponsorship slot, which means several sponsors can support the same child together. Bold Hope is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so sponsorship gifts from U.S. donors are generally tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Yes. Sponsorship is meant to be more than provision, it is a chance to build a real relationship. You can write letters to your sponsored child through Bold Hope, and the letters are translated into the child's native language so they and their family can read them. Letters typically take a couple of weeks to arrive, and your sponsored child can respond with a letter or a drawing. Bold Hope also updates you on your sponsored child's progress each year.

From there you can begin sponsorship for that child.
