I'm Besmaili Filpo

Besmaili was born in the Dominican Republic, even though her parents are Haitian. She currently lives in a Batey. A batey is a shanty-town camp where sugarcane cutters live. We have come alongside this batey in Brador to help care for children. Besmaili loves to spend time with her friends and especially enjoys playing baseball. She has four other siblings. Her mother is currently unemployed and is single. Besmaili's father left the family. The family has limited documentation.
