I'm Jose Manuel Joseph Morene

José Manuel lives in Villa Puerto Rico, a rapidly growing community more commonly known as Autovía located on the outskirts of La Romana.

José Manuel and his two siblings live with their mom and dad. His mom stays home to care for the kids, while his dad works construction jobs in the city. He loves going to the local learning center, started by our partner Iglesia Bautista La Romana, where he is learning how to read and write. José Manuel almost always has a smile on his face. Though he starts off a little shy around people he doesn’t know, he is full of energy and joy once he warms up to you.
