I'm Wilna Thenezy

Wilna was originally born in Haiti and currently lives in Batey Brador. A Batey is a shanty-town camp where sugar cane cutters live. We have come alongside this Batey in Brador to help care for children. Both of Wilna's parents are unemployed. Her father is sick quite often and has trouble finding a job that is long tern. Her parents live together but are not married. They do not speak Spanish, and can only speak Haitian Creole. The family has very limited documentation. Wilna is an only child.
