I'm Yoel Andryse

Yoel lives in Batey Brador. A Batey is a shanty-town camp where sugar cane cutters live. We have come alongside this Batey in Brador to help care for children. Yoel loves to play baseball. His parents are Haitian and only speak French Creole. The family has very limited documentation. Yoel's father works in the sugar cane fields. His mother takes care of the two children. They have other older children that still live in Haiti.
